Weatherization Assistance Program
The Weatherization Assistance Program performs energy audits for eligible owners and renters, in order to find areas that have the highest potential for heat loss. We develop a work scope and apply materials that have the greatest potential to save on fuel and electric costs and increase the comfort for residents.
The four main areas we address are:
- Infiltration: Where unwanted cold enters the home. Caulking, weather-stripping and foam products are used.
- Conductive Loss: When heat produced inside is lost to the outside. Insulation is installed in walls, basements and attics.
- Repairs: Are only performed in order to protect the energy saving materials we install.
- Health and Safety: Installing smoke and CO detectors, insuring that all combustible appliances are vented/operating safely.
Weatherization Plus: Provides those individuals that do not qualify for Weatherization Assistance Program the opportunity to have the same type of services performed on their home for a fee.
